Marqués de Vargas Selección Privada
Wine from an officially designated “Viñedo Singular”, initially made exclusively for consumption at the winery itself. The most expressive and evokative Marqués de Vargas.
Selección Privada is a limited production wine from selected vines that we only produce in the best vintages.
Selección Privada is made solely using grapes from our oldest plots “La Victoria”, “La Garnacha” and “Manolo”, all declared “Viñedo Singular” by the Ministry of Agriculture thanks to the unique characteristics of the terroir.
Winemaking and Ageing
We use various barrel types of the Quercus Petraea species of French oak, sourced from the forests of Tronçais, a wood that provides interesting, subtle and elegant spicy and balsamic notes to the wine. These barrels enhance the refined character of the terroir without detracting from the prominence of the fruit.
